Resolved Question: Does anyone know where i can find a store listing of the shops inside the Jerusalem Mall (Malha/Kenyon)?

My pal lives in Jerusalem and works in the mall. She told me that i couldn't find the mall or store she works in. So far i found the mall but i'm stuck on the store. I've found a directory in Hebrew but I can't read Hebrew so i was hoping some of you might be able to help. Everytime we talk about her job she always refers to it as a GIFT STORE. I know they sell massage chairs, lighters, and luggage mainly because she has mentioned those few things. I'm sure they sell more than that though... If i guess the store i'm going to leave her a message while she is at work as a way of saying i found her... Thanks everyone! I'd appreciate any help you have! ~~Linz

Resolved Question: How many atheists is one Mormon worth?

Since Jeff proposed a trade- I become atheist and an atheist becomes a Mormon- My contacts decided that I am worth 8 atheists. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Avxy.HIE395tU0ck4C3lp5Hsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080506140830AA9xjIU&show=7#profile-info-ogZmw6mzaa Which 8 atheists will volunteer or will you nominate? I nominated- Linz, Mable and Lime Kitty UP and Zilla have also been nominated. Oh yeah and Dave F has to arrive with me- so that means we need more than 8 atheists. That means that you would have to give up babby and start eating green Jello. Now that is an interesting proposal Jeff. I will have to think on it. It would certainly take more than 8 dead atheists though.

Resolved Question: What is the deal with Austria?

Josef Fritzl imprisoned his daughter for 24 years and nobody asked any questions? Don't kids go to school in Austria? Police files show that Fritzl was first recorded as a criminal sex offender in 1967. His record includes a conviction for raping a young lady in the Austrian city of Linz, a crime for which he served an 18 month prison sentence, another attempted rape and an arrest for exposing himself in public in front of women. Why wasn't anyone keeping an eye on him and his daughter? If convicted, he'll receive 15-20 years in prison. That's every! Seriously folks, somebody needs to have a talk with the authorities in Austria. I'd really like to know how this could happen in such a tiny country that is one of the richest in the world.

Voting Question: Do you like this story....Pls rate?

Ever since I could remember life revolved around me. I was daddy’s favourite and my sister knew it because he always made it obvious: like those times he would write a long letter of motivating words on my birthday cards. My sister would only receive signed Dad on hers. I was smart, beautiful and light skin. My sister Nemi was slow and dark as coal. Her future was already doomed for failure. “these white folks will hire my girl Camille faster then they would you, Nemi”, daddy would say while looking at me for approval. “Aint nothing wrong with being a tar baby”, said Nemi with her voice trembling with fright. I was queen at my senior prom and the head of the girls basketball team. I had friends I couldn’t count. every the boys had a thing for me. I called Nemi my foster sister because she embarrassed me enough to hide when I saw her walking in the hallway. “Here comes tar baby, stinky baby”, a boy yelled. If only Nemi had escaped from inheriting Grandma massie’s midnight hue complexion, things would have been better for her. I knew life was too short to have her cramping my style, so Nemi would just be where she belong- in the shadows. Our family were every light skin. Nemi was like a fly in a milk bowl. Nemi was only good at one thing- cooking. While I was receiving compliments from people, she cooked, cleaned and even made my bed. I would toss her a couple of dollars to make her glad. “Why you always receive money and I don’t?”, she would say with tears filling her eyes. “Cause he’s still mad at you for coming out as dark as you did”. This is why it didn’t sit well with me when Nemi called and told me she was getting married. My face felt so hot I had to use a chilly towel to calm me down. “ So, who’s the lucky man”, I said while rolling my eyes. I thought it was impossible for anybody to find my sister attractive. The man she was marrying must have been a no good looser anyhow. I mean who would want a lady with nappy hair and worse want their kids to look like Nemi. “Skye Robbins”, she said while speaking so noisy I had to move the receiver from my ear. My heart beat even faster. “Say what”, I said with a voice I didn’t even recognize myself. Skye Robbins was the man daddy had eyes on for me. He was a wealthy white businessman. That guy had to shoo a lot of women off. Daddy was convinced I would receive him because I had the almost white complexion and a medical degree. every Nemi had was a cook diploma. I hang up the phone and called my parents. “Mom, did you hear about Nemi’s engagement to Skye Robbins?”, I said while stuttering. “Don’t you worry baby, that nappy headed girl won’t be marrying him, I’ll make sure of that”, she said loudly. I could hear daddy cheering her on in the background. “Once he sees your picture, honey, he’ll arrive to his senses and dump tar baby”. I smiled. Copyright © 2008 linz-lo

Voting Question: Peoples 'constructive' answers....?

I asked a question before and got this as an answer: Linz: Good luck being a doctor when you can't use proper grammar. Now aside from the fact her grammar is incorrect in her statement (should be correct grammar not 'proper') ... is this really necessary. When you type questions quick do you need reminding you hit two keys the wrong way around? I'm sorry it just really annoys me that people do this. Rant over. What are your opinions on such answers?

Resolved Question: What is your opinion on the FL Marlins?

What's your opinion on the FL Marlins as a franchise, their fans, and/or their current season? I'm a Marlins fan and I'm just curious to know what the general feeling on them is here in the baseball section. Please don't answer my question with an answer along the lines of these. -"OMFGz MARLINZ SUCK!!! GO PHILLIEZ!!!" -"LYKE DEY ARE DA BEZT DERE PITCHING ROX!!! GO LINZ!!!" Thanks I think it's hilarious that they traded Dontrelle and Cabrera and they've both done nothing but suck in Detroit. On the same hand, we got Andrew Miller >_<

Resolved Question: Brahms and Wagner (and Bruckner) ?

What about Brahms vs. Wagner debate ? What would you do if you were caught in the middle like needy Anton Bruckner ? http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/4291/debate.htm “During the tardy 19th century, the musical world was caught up in the "musico-political" debate between Johannes Brahms and Richard Wagner. You were for one or the other. Vienna was the home of Brahms and regarded by critics, especially the mightiest of critics - Eduard Hanslick, as the heir to Beethoven. Supporters of Brahms refused even to discuss Bruckner’s music and even Brahms viewed Bruckner as a lamentable lunatic whose mental health had been ruined by the priests of St. Florian. (…) The conflict between the adherents of Wagner and of Brahms during the last third of the nineteenth century played a significant part in the history of German and Austrian music. In 1888 Friedrich Nietzsche wrote that the opponents of Wagner championed Brahms merely because they needed an antagonist to Wagner. This was a shrewd observation. Having openly declared his admiration of Wagner’s music, Bruckner found himself caught in the cross-flame. In September 1873 he visited Wagner in Bayreuth and requested the latter’s permission to dedicate a symphony to him. Wagner accepted the dedication of the third symphony. In the same year Bruckner joined the Vienna Academic Richard Wagner Association. This prompted Eduard Hanslick, Professor of Music History at Vienna University and spokesman of the Brahms camp, to launch an every-out attack on Bruckner, whom he perceived as an exponent of "wagnerism" in Austria. Hanslick, whose allegiances lay with a formalistic concept of musical structure, was bound to view Bruckner’s entire symphonic output as a monstrosity, since its guiding formal principle is that of expressive articulation. It defies analysis in terms of Hanslick’s definition of music as the interplay of "forms moved by sound". (…) In February 1863, Wagner's Tannhäuser was performed for the first time in Linz. Bruckner and his teacher, Otto Kitzler, studied the scores. Within 2 years, Bruckner was labeled as a Wagnerian symphonist. (…) One reason Bruckner is not known outside of Austria and Germany is that England loved Brahms (ironically Brahms hated England). Therefore, Bruckner's standing in the English speaking world suffered.” A few commonplaces (they help us to survive): - Wagner was a classicist disguised as a romantic; Brahms the vice-versa. - Brahms was against everything: he wasn't against W. only, he was against Tchaikovsky, he criticized every who wrote more than 4 symphonies like he and Schumann, he criticized his admirers too. - Brahms attitude was conditioned by his frustrated academic ambitions, Wagner's by his debts. - If W. had limited himself to symphonic production, he'd have spared us Mahler, Bruckner and that moustached guy. Please note that some of those commonplaces (including the last one) belong to rather serious people. For sky h: it's raher embarassing to have to go back to those allegged wagnerian influences on that politcal movement starting with Na and ending with zism. No, it wasn't R. Strauss. Even more embarassing to remind you that those hooks with a point you find in the first line are question marks. FINAL WARNING: I suspect that the 'jellyfish' insult to Brahms drove Glinzek crazy and on turn he was unnecessarily difficult on Bruckner, who is no way in the others' scale and rather boring but not totally meaningless. Considering W. and B. structurally similar to Beethoven means denying the debate, or escaping it. Bird tune took a reasonable position just in the shoes of Bruckner. For those who didn't find a question: quaerendo invenies (at least, find a latin vocabulary or a 'Musical Offering' CD). Later I'll give the BA.

Resolved Question: What is the main idea of W.H.Auden's poem September 1,1939?

I have to right a page expaining the main idea. But im not understanding what it is? please help!!! SEPTEMBER 1, 1939 by W.H. Auden Newhead News Auden -X- MetaFilter Auden: A poet for our times by Christopher Hitchens I sit in one of the dives On Fifty-second road Uncertain and afraid As the smart hopes expire Of a low dishonest decade: Waves of anger and fear Circulate over the bright And darkened lands of the earth, Obsessing our private lives; The unmentionable odour of death Offends the September night. Accurate scholarship can Unearth the whole offence From Luther until now That has driven a culture mad, Find what occurred at Linz, What huge imago made A psychopathic god: I and the public know What every schoolchildren learn, Those to whom bad is done Do bad in return. When I went back to her question to give her another response it won't allow me to view the question. Does this mean she blocked me? Her question was this: Poll: What is adore? about a half an hour ago. I responded that I wished people would cease asking that as I look it every the time and it's sleepy. So do you receive notified by YA is someone blocks you?

Resolved Question: Josef Fritzl Isn't the only case.?

# 1 Natascha Kampusch was imprisoned in a cellar for eight years in Vienna, Austria. She was kidnapped at the age of 10. #2 Maria K. A 23-year old mentally disabled lady, was locked up for nine years in a coffin-like wooden chest by her parents in Vienna, Austria. She was released in 1996. 3 # In 2007, it was revealed that a middle-aged middle-class lawyer in Linz, Austria had suffered a nervous breakdown after her divorce, and imprisoned her daughters Viktoria, Katherina and Elisabeth in squalid conditions in almost total darkness from the ages of seven, 11, and 13 for seven years up to 2005. The girls' symptoms after their release bear some similarity to the Fritzl kids's. This has become a hobby in Austria from the look of it, I think George Bush should declare a war with Austria, and free every kids from their Austrian dungeons. What you think? There's actually 4, including Josef Fritzl. dirty Austrians!

Resolved Question: Why do so many cases of people being locked in cellars come out of Austria?

Natascha Kampusch was put in a cellar for 8 years after she was kidnapped. A mentally challenged lady named Maria K. was locked in a wooden chest by her parents for 9 years in Vienna. The Linz sisters, Viktoria, Katharina and Elisabeth, were locked in a basement for 7 years in total darkness by their mom. And now the Fritzl case, which in my opinion is the most horrible? What are the Austrian authorities doing about these abominations? Surely after this many instances of the same thing in a space of 30 years, they'd do something by now.

Resolved Question: Hen Party question ????????

Hey every one. My hen party is on 1st November. i am getting married abroad (i'm in the UK) so therefore have no MOH to plan this for me, so myself and a good pal have planned it together. So far only a few people have sent back RSVP's and i'm certainly not chasing people to arrive and spend time with me and i've told my pal not to either, if they want to help celebrate with me then they should have the decency to let me know. (bit of a rant sorry) Any way.... So far there is between 16-18 of my friends going who are definites, some are staying over night and some are getting the last train home (the last train is 10:00pm) The reason most people are getting the train home is because they can't receive a hotel as they have left it to tardy to book anything (most hotels and B&B's in York won't take 1 nighters for some reason) any way because it's not been done for them, they haven't bothered their ars*. But they will still be there and i appreciate that loads. What i want to know is do i buy every the people who are coming gift bags? or just the people who are staying over with me? or do i not buy gift bags at every? I'm afraid i don't know the tradition or etiquette with this - sorry. Or do i just receive them thank you cards for coming... I have NOOOOO idea lol. If i do receive them gift bags - what on earth do i put in them?? My friends are so different it's unreal, they go from one extreme to the other 1 is into pink and fluffy (girly girl) and 1 is a massive body builder... Thank you for your help believe me it's much appreciated. Linz x
